Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

We are thrilled to look back on 2017 and recognize that HFHGC has reached some truly astonishing milestones. Here are a few:
  • dedicated our affiliate’s 600th home since our inception 31 years ago
  • made The Enquirer’s “Top Workplaces” list
  • saw an incredible turnout for both Rock the Block and Women’s Build 2017
  • received awards for our partnership from Community Matters (Lower Price Hill) and Habitat El Salvador
  • raised 300% of our Cincinnati Gives 2017 goal (so far!)
Check out a few of our favorite moments from last year.

Thanks to teams from Lowe’s Home ImprovementWyzerr, and WCPO – 9 On Your Side for supporting Women Build 2017.
This wall build, in partnership with Parkside Christian Church and Nagel Middle School, was just one of the six sets of walls built in partnership with Crossroads Missions’ Help Build Hope.
Needless to say, your support and generosity have made a huge difference in the lives of Cincinnati families this year. Here’s how you can be a part of making this upcoming year even better for our community.
1. get involved
There are plenty of ways you can help families build homes and hope this year. Consider making a donation, signing up to volunteer at the ReStore or on a build site, or encouraging your friends and family members to get involved in our mission. We offer several different ways to make a financial contribution (anything helps!) or to volunteer, all with varying levels of commitment.
2. advocate for our cause
Habitat for Humanity serves as a voice for people in need of decent housing by working to change laws and shape policies that affect access to housing. When you advocate for Habitat for Humanity on behalf of our Cincinnati chapter, you’re fighting for everyone’s right to have a decent, affordable place to live in our metropolitan area. Visit habitat.org/advocacy to learn more.
3. encourage your company or organization to become a sponsor
Organizations that become Habitat sponsors enjoy a unique and rewarding experience! Your organization could have new, positive employee engagement opportunities, a visible association with one of the best-known nonprofit brands worldwide, and the knowledge that it has helped Greater Cincinnati families on the path to homeownership and a better, brighter future. Visithabitatcincinnati.org/sponsorship to see how you can get started.
As always, your generosity, involvement, and support are what propel our mission forward. We’ve built 600 homes for 600 deserving families in Cincinnati, but that’s only a small dent when you consider the hundreds of families in our community who desperately need affordable housing in order to thrive. It’s time to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty—we’ve got hundreds more Habitat homes to build. Will you join us?
I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
