Do you enjoy shopping? Fixing things? Hanging out in the local hardware store? Combine your passions into a volunteer position at one of our ReStore locations! When you help the ReStore, you help your community. The purpose of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati’s ReStores is to help provide funding for our organization’s mission of helping to alleviate poverty housing in our area. The stores do this by selling donated new and used appliances, furniture, cabinets, building products and household items to the general public. While it is not the only source of funding for the organization, the profit from these stores has allowed us to help serve more families in the Greater Cincinnati area.
The ReStore changes every day and tasks will vary depending on the day’s challenge. Volunteers will work with the ReStore Manager to prioritize tasks and choose assignments that match your skills and abilities. The ReStore staff will provide training and supervision for all volunteer positions. All volunteers must be 14 years of age or older to volunteer at the ReStore. All volunteers who are 14-15 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian and any volunteers under the age of 18 also need to have a waiver signed by their parent/guardian.
We are unable to accept Court-Ordered Community Service volunteers with violent, sexual, or theft charges. Other Court-Ordered Community Service volunteers may register for shifts in advance through our online Volunteer Hub process and should bring their court paperwork and a picture ID to their first shift.
