Building more than houses

You already know that, every year, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati helps many hardworking local families build stability and self-reliance through constructing and buying a home. You may not know that Habitat also offers critical repairs for other homeowners who are having trouble keeping their homes healthy and safe.

Habitat’s Critical Home Repair program helps families maintain and stay in their homes, and builds neighborhood stabilization and revitalization in communities where Habitat is active. Homeowners who meet income guidelines to qualify for Critical Home Repair have a need for swift response to damaged interior or exterior sites of the home.

The work our staff and dedicated volunteers perform will alleviate critical health, safety issues, and/or code violations. Critical repair can include space reconfiguration, installation or extension of plumbing, modifications for accessibility, and mechanical or electrical systems on an existing structure. Right now, funds are limited to veterans and specific neighborhoods but your support can help more families.

Learn more about how your support can help build community and confidence for more homeowners working hard to stay in their homes or see if your family qualifies!
