AmeriCorps Construction Crew Leadership Opportunity
Member will serve as a part of our AmeriCorps team (6-8 members) to assist Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati with Construction Crew Leadership. This includes building homes in the many communities we serve, preparing for volunteers and coordinating their activities on site and during special events. This position does not require any construction experience.

Start date: January, 2017. The position lasts for 10.5 months, with the opportunity to serve again.
- Members will assist with construction and build site preparation on a daily basis from the beginning of the build to the completion of the project
- Lead small groups of volunteers, ensuring that they are all well employed while on the work site
- Maintain site safety through modeling of safety practices and guidelines, volunteer education and site monitoring
- Help with materials management on site and at the affiliate warehouse. Pick up materials needed for projects
- Assist in training interested volunteers on additional construction tasks and lead them in the completion of these tasks
- Arrive on time and ready to serve (Tuesday-Saturday 8am-4pm) and promote the mission, goals and values of the AmeriCorps program
- 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident alien
- Living allowance of approx. $12,530 for a completed term (Approx. $440-480 biweekly after taxes)
- Education award of $5,815 upon completion of term if member is eligible
- Health insurance may be available at no cost to the member

- Student loan forbearance may be available

Receiving & Stocking Associate – Dock Work (Cincinnati, OH)
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati’s ReStore is looking for a part-time Receiving and Stocking Associate to work 16 to 24 hours per week at our Cheviot location. The ReStore sells new and used donated building products as well as new and used furniture and appliances to help fund Cincinnati Habitat for Humanity’s nonprofit home building ministry that helps qualified low income people obtain decent affordable housing. The store is open to the public.
The Receiving and Stocking Associate must be available to work Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM until 6:00 PM and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This position requires the ability to lift 70 lbs or more, possess merchandising skills, operating various material handling equipment (i.e. pallet jack, two & four wheeled dollies, etc), help load and unload donations, clean and sort donated items, pricing items, and excellent customer service skills. The position may require at times other duties related to our operation such as cashiering, pricing items, light cleaning, and occasionally driving a truck, which requires passing a Department of Transportation physical (CDL licenses is not required).

Cashier (Hamilton, OH)
Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore in Hamilton, OH are looking for a part-time cashier to work 15 to 24 hours per week. The ReStore sells new and used donated building products as well as new and used furniture, housewares, and appliances to help fund our nonprofit Christian home building ministry that helps qualified low income families obtain decent affordable housing. The store is open to the public.
The cashier must be available to work Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM. This position requires operating a computer, exchanging funds, and excellent customer service skills. The position will require other duties related to a retail operation such as sales, merchandising activities, pricing items, and light cleaning.

Site Superintendent – Cincinnati, OH
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati’s (Habitat) is a non-profit housing organization whose mission is to eliminate sub-standard housing and strengthen communities. We partner with low-income families to meet their long term need for safe, affordable housing. Habitat has partnered with over 500 qualified low-income families in nine counties throughout the states of Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana, offering a “hand up and not a hand out” in their journey towards homeownership.
Habitat is pleased to announce that we are hiring for a Site Superintendent. This will be a full time (Tuesday through Saturday), exempt position responsible for supporting our growing home construction/home rehab program – we are slated to build/rehab 40 homes this coming fiscal year and complete 20 repair projects. The ideal candidate needs to be knowledgeable in all aspects of residential rehab and new construction work and will be skilled in leading partner families and volunteers in performing construction activities including but not limited to: rough framing, window/door installation, roofing, siding, drywall hanging, trim work and painting, flooring installation, and cabinet installation. A minimum of 4 – 6 years of experience in residential construction with 1 – 2 years in supervision is required. Experience with Energy Star 3.0 construction is preferred. Travel within Habitat service area is required.

(Unpaid volunteer opportunity) This individual will support the needs of the Procurement Manager. Requirements: Attention to detail. Proficiency in data entry, Excel, Word, and Outlook. Experience in logistics/procurement is preferred.

Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore, a nonprofit home building ministry, is looking for a part-time truck driver to pick up donations in the Greater Cincinnati Area.
This position requires safely operating a truck, adhering to any DOT requirements, climbing in and out of a truck, fueling the truck, operating a lift-gate, handling two wheelers, dollies, strapping items down, courteous interaction with donors and donors, adhering to the organization’s dress code, lifting and moving heavy items that include, but not limited to, refrigerators, washers, dryers, and furniture.
Although a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is not required, the passing of a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical will be needed, which is paid by Habitat. To cross state lines to our store in Florence, KY and/or to pick up donations in Indiana, DOT requires that you must be 21 years old or older.

Assistant ReStore Manager
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati is currently seeking a full-time Assistant Manager for one of our ReStore locations. ReStores are retail outlets that sell new and used appliances, building products, furniture, and household items to generate funding for our nonprofit home building ministry.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to, store operations, managing the point of sale system, store safety, hiring, training, scheduling, merchandising, pricing, security, managing staff and volunteers, lifting/moving heavy items, and opening and closing the store. Operating a truck may also be required to occasionally assist with donation pickups, which requires a Department of Transportation physical, but not a Commercial Driver License. The position will also require excellent customer service skills as well as developing and maintaining positive relationships with customers, donors, volunteers, and staff. This position requires hard goods retail and merchandising experience.
The store hours are 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Saturday, and closed on Sundays and most holidays. Compensation for the position is based on experience and includes a benefits package. A drug test and criminal/sex offender background checks are required.
